Propane instead of Nos?

Propane injection is still big in diesels and will remain that way. Increased horsepower, increased fuel mileage and lower egt's.

SUMX162 is dead on.

power yes, fuel mileage (diesel) yes but only when you run it in conjuction and then your filling up two tanks (robbing peter to pay paul). Lower EGT's?????????? Never seen it! Its a catalyst (sp?) and it burns!

Propane is fizzing out, many people still run it but its getting fewer and far between, theres to many bad side affects from running it.

Brad's Apex and Nytro kits both use propane as the fuel source..and are boosted...like stated earlier...propane likes compression and has higher octane (118) where as nitrous likes low compression because its an oxidizer and increases cylinder pressure...

I can't see replacing one for the other...kinda like replacing an orange for an apple...they both have there purpose...but not in the same way..

using propane as a fuel source instead of gasoline is expensive up front but when comparing the prices per galon..if you ride a lot it wont take much time to save some cash...

Its Bull sit. propane injected sled, b.s.. its just higher octane fuel. If he adds propane at wot and it increases h.p. then the thing is running lean to begin with. Don't believe all the b.s. you read on the internet. if you read the link on the other propane injected sled, it has a turbo, there is the power, and since the octane rating is higher it will help save the pistons in it. THATS ALL.

AND NOS IS A KIT, N20 IS Nitrous, and Nitrous is not flammable. its just an oxidizer.

I knew I could get some answers on here and figured the guy was smoking stuff, but it was a neat idea.

smoking crack

have built many lpg trucks you have to realy advance the timing because it burns so slow other wise its burning past the valves and into ex pipe it does make a old chevy trk run smooth
