project= lightweight venture 500 mountain sled? need info
i've got a line on a 97 and 98 venture 500 2 ups neither one runs but i can get them for about $100-. i've got a mod'd rx1 that i've built and i'm looking for a lw backup or secondary sleds for friends and guest. plus something i can put miles on early and late season and not tear up my other sled.
so for all you tech sled guys that cut your teeth on the old phazers here's a real challenge. how to peak out a 500 lc?
goal
lw boondocking sled that can break trail in pow pow.
i figure i'll take one of the sleds and really tweak it, 600 cylinders, pipe, clutching, mesh hood, track, etc.
-which 600 cylinders can be swapped onto a 97 or 98 500 lc
-given the cylinder swap what else needs to be done
-does anyone know which 8th drivers fit on the drive shaft and will these clear a 2" paddle track?
