problems with Carlisle xs819 belt

Okay so I just bought two ultimax xs819 belts, I had just finished installing my mtx weights without knowing I needed to shim spider. So I put my stock cat weights back in, and no matter how loose I put the deflection the sled will creep. I compared the belt to a gates belt and it's almost 1/8" wider, I compared the gates belt to my worn cat belt and it's about 1/64. Both ultimax belts are 1/8" too wide, anyone else have this problem? I sure ain't going to add shims to run these belts.

I just bought one as well, I'll let you know tomorrow

I can't figure out why his was so bad. He said he's tried adjusting it out as far as it will go, and he can't get it to not creep, to the point where it stalls the sled.

He just returned them I think & bought new cat belts... I don't get it.

Btw, his are EXACTLY what Carlisle says they're supposed to be width wise, so they're "correct" in theory.

I wonder if his alignment isn't off, creating a side load on the belt in the primary? The carlisle is stiffer than the cat, so I could see it not conforming to the angle change as well...

Shawn, it's dumping at my house now... you should come ride this weekend :D

Ohhh I wish I could, with the kiddos this weekend. Was up at The Snowies last weekend not bad.. Not great but not bad. I do want to ride though, trying to sort out this Turbo M1k, Amber holts old sled. Been on the freeride most of the season not enough snow to break out the big hp.

Yea it's like .040 difference, I slapped my cat belt on and it was perfect. My alignment is pretty spot on so it can't be that. When I talked to an engineer at carlisle he said to check the dates on the belts and if they're both the same to send them back and they'll send me new ones. But I don't exactly want new ones if they aren't going to work.
