Hey guys, posting for my friend who has an 01 Mountain cat 600 EFi. We have been having issues with it...
At first it was bogging really bad in the low end, and cutting out at times in the high end, we fixed that by fixing his TPS.
Now the thing will run great, until it decides to stop.. then it will die, and it will be tough to start with a low low idle, and when you give it any gas it will die out.
But, if you nurse the gas just right, it will come to life, and run fine. Then the problem wont occur again.
Happened twice last night, even though the sled was turned on and off multiple times.
The second time, it was after it was ridden into a tree (cracked the hood not too hard a hit). It started up after we got it out, then rode about 50 feet down the trail, turned it off, and it wouldn't run right.
Power valves have been taken apart and cleaned, had the same problem with the TPS disconnected.
Any ideas? Its dumping here and we need to ride tomorrow.
It has good gas in it too with 87 octane like the manual says.
