Problem staying running when cold

I have a 2008 600 dragon. Sled has 10,000 miles. Around 6,000 miles the sled developed a cold start problem. The sled will start and then shut down as if it's not getting enough fuel. The fuel is not the problem. It's not the spark plugs. Could it be bad ignition coils? I have to hit the kill switch twice and restart it before the sled will stay running. This only happens when trying to start it when it's 20 degrees F or colder. Fuel filter was changed at 8,000 miles. Would a bad exhaust sensor do this?

My 07 700 has recently started firing up without any dash or headlights until it gets to about 78 then everything comes on. Only on very cold days and only started a couple months ago..

I replaced mine too, I have what the dealer said was an updated part #

When my first VR wrecked my sled went into limp mode. Luckily I was on a trail and got it home.

This only happens in the morning on really cold days, or if I let it sit for long enough for it to cool right down, then it warms up to 78, everything comes to life, I wait until about 85-90 and it runs fine all day.

Sorry this is turning into being more about my sled than yours! It sounds like cold-starting a chainsaw, takes a few times before it's running warm enough to idle.

Yeah. so far, the fuel is 60psi, the pipe sensor is good. Next move is to check the air temp sensor. Then after that, I'm going to replace the ignition coils if it's not the air temp sensor.

I'd pull the flywheel and clean out the stator...
Possibly the TPS needs readjusting to spec. Or cables need adjusting...

Unplug the orange wire going from the VR to the ECU. If the regulator ever goes again it won't burn down the ecu.
