Pro temps

when I noticed the temp light on it said 199, scrachers were down but hard crusted snow, shut it down immediately

exact same thing happened to a buddy today. hard ice pack road this am, sled hit 194* temp light flashing

other buddy was on his sks. 144*

127 w/ scratchers down and moderate speeds. 127 off trail. I got stuck behind groomer for 10 minutes last trip on way in to town. I hit 177 quickly. finally got around groomer.

We are in Truckee.

Our 163 3" stay cool with scratchers down as long as scratchers can penetrate and throw snow/ice.

If I was you and looking at a 155"-- I'd buy an SKS. If they made a 163 SKS, I would have bought that.

Been pleasantly surprised at the ability to keep cool with 3" paddle.

when this happened I was going slow through a meadow, sure that was most my problem, sure watch it closer now

Shutting down when that hot is the worst thing you can do. The temps skyrocket after Shutting off the coolant flow through the engine. When you get hot and want to cool it down just stop let it idle and pack snow on the back of the tunnel. You will see the temps starting to drop as you sit there. Once cool enough shutdown or continue on.

thanks Murph.
I am leaning toward the SKS. My buddy could not be happier with his. Never has to worry about temps.
A bit stronger sled as well with minimum weight added (snow check without e-start)
