My buddy wants to put on nitros with a 80 hp shot. I told him that he may need to run race fuel but im not sure. Does anyone know? Id hate to see him burn his new sled down. Thanks.

he oculd run a boss noss system off the 08-10 dragons, and just retrofit it?

80HP...Definately more Octane...

BUT.... run more octane will give you lower performance "off the button"

The Boss system has it's own fuel supply... but the track record may be something to consider.

NOS will (and should) void the warranty on the motor.

80hp is pretty extreme IMO.

I agree 80 hp is a little extreme. What is the highest a guy could run on 91 octane? Thanks for the replies!

15HP per cylinder was the general rule I always followed with nos on good 91 gas never had any problems have pushed it to 25 percylinder but i didnt hold the button for any amount of time

Nos on 700cc

I was running my piped and slightly modded -06 M7 @ 220 psi with BD adj system for 2 years without problems. On dyno it made around 55-60hp extra for the first 3-5sec and dropped to 30-40hp after 8sec.
Always running on premium fuel. 80hp sound's a little extreme on 800cc. Hope that helps.

boss told me they run 40 hp shots all day long with no problems on 91.
