Pro RMK Quick Hood Removal

I am trying to come up with a faster (no tool) solution to secure the hood on my Pro RMK. I was thinking of replacing the two torx screws with a stud and trying turn them into a hood pin of some kind, but I'm not sure it will hold tight enough not to rattle.

Has anyone else come up with a good idea? Pics Please!
 
all you need to do is put a small soft rubber/foam "washer" on the pin before the hood goes over it, then adjust the pin height so you have to compress the "washer" slightly to install your clips..should hold the hood plenty snug to stop any rattles...

Could always add the rubber hold downs like other hoods.

That looks pretty slick. I would be interested in the pins you are using from the hood to the dash plastic as well as the hood pins you have in front of the steering post. I Probably don't need the hinge portion.

I couldn't find any place on your website to purchase any or all of it.

We are currently getting them manufactured. As soon as we are able to post a ship date I will post it on the web site. As far as pricing the full Hinge kit will be 124.99. This includes the aluminum hinge system, hood brackets, Push dart replacement snaps and the hood pin system.
If you just want the Push Dart Replacement Snaps and the Hood Pin System the cost is 24.99.
We are taking Pre Orders by phone for those that want theirs shipped first.

Pro hood ...

You could try his hood kit for a benji and some change... or just go buy 2 studs and a couple of wing nuts for 3.00 buck or so at the hardware store. Works great did it to mine .

I am glad that works for you. We have done the wing nut deal and it was fine until I dropped the wing nut in the snow. With Just the Pin Kit you can remove the hood quick and easy without loosing any parts need to put it back on.

I'd like to see pics of the quick remove pieces whenever you get them. Preferably installed.

Will the snaps work with the underhood goggle bag? The snap on the exhaust side replaces the push dart that holds one end of the bag. Does the way it's secured allow the same mounting of the bag?

Either way, still a great idea!

Yes it will work. You have two choices. When you install the female end of the HD Snap you can bolt it on then or you can put the plastic piece from the goggle bag between the two when you snap them together.

Ready to ship. I shipped the last of our components out today to fill orders. I tracked the shipment and will be able to send more kits out tomorrow afternoon. Also the full hood hinge kit will be ready in a few weeks for those that have ordered. You will receive a E Mail tracking number from UPS. We are shipping out Performance Enhancement Kits and Pro hood pin Kits everyday and the shop is swamped so keep trying if you do not get us or leave a message.
