i like a stiffer suspension as i am used to riding race sleds. so i thought the assault would be the way to go. how much ride difference is there between pro rmk and the assault. which would you recomend and why.
i like boondocking and jumping. will the suspension hold up on the pro rmk as good *** the assault? are both shocks rebuildable and revalvable?
one of the main reasons im asking is the 900 dollor difference in price. that would be a nice payment on an upgrade on evols or exit shocks if i wasnt satisfied. right know i got a 08 summit and the suspenson sucks in my book. would i notice a better ride upgrading to the pro rmk. these sleds look bad ***. thanks for any imput

i'd take the 900 dollars and put the shocks you want on the pro rmk, pro rmk and assault both have rebuildables, get the pro rmk with stiff shocks and you have an assault without the chainsaw track on it, the assault track will hook up on anything solid though, but chainsaws powder snow. and the pro rmk is lighter, that's why i went with the pro rmk with the intention of upgrading the shocks to exit. either way though you'll be happy.

RMK ASSAULT

Hi,
Can't say anything about the pro rmk but I just love my pro rmk assault for boondocking and jumps. The shocks does the Jobb an good adjustments on them.
Just my 2c :)

I own both a 09 xp X model 154 and a 2011 assault rmk. I love my assault. The shocks are buzz light years better on the assault. I love the track. I haven't had it in big powder yet but it hooks up great in tracked up snow or snow that is setup. Thats my 2cents.

I can only tell you this - the Pro RMK 153 800, in 2'- 3' of fresh Utah powder is the best sled that I have ever had the pleasure of riding - I am 59 years old and have rode many of sled over the years.

Had my first ride in the mountains on my new RMK Assaulty this weekend. It was incredible. But the track trenched like everyone else has said. But for jumping/boondocking it was top dog. As for climbing, 2 people i rode with rode new Summits and couldn't make a climb, then someone came with a new pro rmk and shot up and over. I'll be putting the pro track on my assault. best of both worlds.
