Pro rmk or m8 sno pro

hey im buying a new sled and i dont know what to get. i narrowed it down between these two., the 2011 pro rmk or 2011 m8 sno pro. i wanna know people thoughts of the two. which is better and what you think i should buy? i have heard that the pro handles a lot better than the m8 but the m8 has a lot more power and is more reliable. just cant really decide on what to get? thanks!

I have a 2010 Hcr and the Pro-Rmk made it feel like a tank.I thought the Pro seemed like it had less power than my Hcr but Pro would outclimb it.Pro is the most impressive stock mountain sled Ive ever rode. This is coming from a guy thats rode cats since 1989 and live 11 miles north of Thief River Falls,so its fair to say I bleed green.Right now I'm on the fence between 2012 Pro Rmk800 or Pro-climb 800.

I have a Pro and love it.

If you are buying new I would buy the ProRMK OR the AC ProClimb but not a 2011 M8.... why buy the devalued last year chassis?

Buy the latest and greatest...whichever you decide on.

I have them all and like them all ,,,depends on the day and the snow conditions, the dryer powder I like the poo the heaver I like the m-8the harder I like the TD8 and the dooo ,,,well it has the least miles:face-icon-small-hap

i was a 15 year ac guy, bought the pro because was tired of waiting for the new ac. figured i'd go back when the new chassis came out, the 410 pound 170 hp rumors sounded sweet. was very disappointed to say the least with the new cat. seems they threw the 2 stroke guys under the bus to make a chassis to fit the 4 stroke. i'm a agressive tree rider and have no intensions on riding a heavier sled. can see this will probably be the last chassis for ac with a 2 stroke motor, and i'm gonna ride a smoker until i die or they can make a 4 stroke the same weight. so it looks like the future of the 2 smoke lies with poo and doo. i absolutely love my pro...

There is a reason 1/2 of all Pro owners are ex-Cat riders.... just like me. Nothing wrong with the Cats, even some things are a bit better (engine.) BUT these dang things just work. That's all there is to it. I bleed green, and my '10 M8 just can't do what my Pro does. Pro. You won't be sorry.

ttt

been riding with 4 pros all year and man they rip! But i have pulled 3 of the 4 out also! rod bearings?? Buy a pro best chassis bar none put a cat motor in it haha! There both good but i dont like polaris motors never been able to build one quite right my 2 sence

Another previous Happy M owner, great sled don't regret the thing one bit. But quite frankly this Pro works beautifully and have not regretted my decision once. I hope the new AC chassis work though!

Why would you buy an 11 m8 when the 12 Arctic cat is completely different?
I've had 5 m8, and 1 pro. Come this time next year I'll probably be saying I've had 2 pro's. You couldn't pay me to get back on the dated M-chassis.

I've been riding with Pro's and M8's all season. The Pro is a much better deep snow sled, the M8 looks to have a slight advantage on the hardpack. I've been on the fence myself over what to upgrade to. My old old old UBR 900's are requiring a little more maintenance than I care for these days, they'll smoke either sled on the stiff snow, but I've been trying to keep up with Pro's all season in the deep. The Pro looks real good to me and I am 99% sure I'm going to snowcheck. It is by far the easiest sled to sidehill I have ever ridden. I used to have a good side (left) and a challenged side, I can ride the Pro right or left equally well. I think it will make me a better rider.

Both sleds are great but my nod goes to the Pro. It makes a good rider out of an average rider. I also have heard from a couple sources that some of the big name riders have rode the new Cat chassis and would still rather ride the old chassis in the deep pow.. Oh well they are all good. I think it all boils down to a dealer that will take care of you, regardless of brand.

Neither of those things are as black and white as stated. Both very capable sleds.

Copy/paste your question into a thread on the m/proclimb forum and I bet you get different variety of answers.
