High temp RTV silicone is what most people use I believe.
Have 2 new pros with the HPS can. I did not put any sealers on the connections and do not have any leaks. I did have some leaking at y-pipe for a little bit on them until the grafoil doughnut got hot enough to seat in. After that all is good.
spring lengths
Be sure you have the 2 long springs front and back horizontally and a short sprin vertically in the back and you should have an in-line connection and no need for sealant. May be pull your can and check seal if this was not so on intial setup to make sure seal is not deformed, saw this happen on a friends when he used a short spring horizontally

Eh a little high temp RTV silicone never hurts anything
