pro rear skid

I only have a day’s riding on my new Pro and here is what I thought. For a stock set up that doesn’t have any adjustability other than spring rate, I thought it was pretty darn good. The wt transfer on mine, as set up seemed a little light but the steering was a good balance so I will have to see if softening it up a bit will result in a trade off that isn't to my liking. The rebound on the rear seemed a little springy. I think I would like a bit more rebound damping. Overall I loved the way it road and handled compared to my dragon. Very nice and very happy.

I took my first ride yesterday 42 miles 2.6 hours. My suspension is setup according to the manual for a 160 to 220lb rider and I am 180lb.

What I found was it seems to me too stiff in the rear. When you jump up and down on the boards it doesn't move very much.
I know that I am used to the IQ sag that seems to be way softer.
On the trail (it was a bumpy trail up to the alpine) I traded off riders with a 700 dragon 155" and it seemed to be a lot smoother.
I will soften up the RTSS first and see how it handles the bumps from there.

Any other suggestions or observations?

after coming off a cat the pro skid is awesome. have adjusted the front and rear shock a little but seems to work awfully well right where it came out of the box. no air shocks was a huge selling point for me, why take a step backwards??? if you notice no more we air on the poo, air shocks are on their way out...

I hade the W.E on my Dragon and blew out three shocks last year, i was stoked when i saw the pro came with coilovers. Just turned up the spring on the rear shock (felt a little soft last ride) so the next ride might be a test n tune day, but just having too much fun riding the thing so far to get off and spin wrenches.

We have two Pro RMKs. One for the 115 lb girlfriend, one for me.

She weighs 115. I'm 165. Both sleds were set up for those weights according to the manual.

After riding hers, I noticed that the sled carved better in the soft pow, just seemed to turn better--(I am trying to resist the "flickable" buzz word)

I softened the RTSS spring on mine to 10.5" installed length with the rear end suspended in the air. This worked really well for me, lots of transfer and made the front end light. I could see that this particular setup could be tough for the chute runners and super steep long pulls because the front would want to come up a little bit. That being said, it takes just a couple of seconds to change the spring preload--even on the snow. You could ride the rear soft in the trees, and tighten it up if you went to get the highmark.

Sent all 4 of my shocks to Carls for the revalving. They set them up for me while there. Put them back on and have 70 miles on them so far and they feel great. Never even tried them from the factory so I do not know the difference.

My findings:

Pro pushes a bit in the corners on the trail or in the trees, softened up the front track shock for a bit more ski pressure but the rear still feels stiff. I am afraid to soften the rear as I am a 220 lb rider without gear and am also afraid that the sled will push more... Not really sure what to do yet.

It truly takes the suspension 300 miles or so for it to break in/ soften up. Set The the rear shock to your street weight minus 25lbs and then work with the FTS for ski pressure. Also the Bergstrom Triple runners are superb. Be patient and you will get it tuned in for your style and love it!
