Pro not wanting to idle after riding, sometimes...

Coming to a stop, every once and awhile, the motor will continue to idle down almost to a point of stalling. The gauge will sometimes flicker in and out as its not getting enough juice. One super cold day it actually stalled. I quick throttle blip and its fine. Not a big deal, just seems odd. Anyone else experience this?

My 2012 pro 800 has done it three separate times. each time the dealer had to readjust the tps. The last time they just replaced it as the codes came back as unrealistic or something like that.

Take in to your dealer and have them check it out, if it is a 2012 then there could also be water in the tps plug connector from the factory after they got done pressure washing the motor off.

Just needs a TPS adjustment. My 08 dragon and now my 12 pro both needed one every 500 miles or so to get the idle and or starting back to where it should be. Always seemed to be out a fair bit when I took them in. Quick fix at a dealer.

Very few dealers know how to set it properly and the digital wrench is garbage and not accurate. You need to use a top of the line volt meter and your sled will run better than it ever has

Any issues or worries about riding it as is? I have a week long trip planned and the dealer cant get me in before.

Bump! Any worry about the TPS quitting on me mid trip? Can I rip on it as is and not worry? It only happens at coming down to idle, never any open throttle issue.

If it doesn't bother you it wont bother the sled. If it only does it every now and then, I wouldn't worry about till you get back from your trip. Have fun!

try pulling TPS plug off senor and blowing it out with compressed air and reattach plug. Water gets trapped in the top of sensor and you'll get irratic idol and bottom end.

Update:
beat the piss outta my sled for 400 miles this week, happened maybe twice. Flat out love my sled!
