Pro drivers on assault shaft and 2.6 track?

Just posted on putting a 3" on a 13 assault with the intro drivers. Looks like modding the chain case is the only way.

Can you do a 2.6" polaris track without chaincase mod? Will factory pro drivers fit on the assault shaft? Or would a pro shaft work in place of the assault shaft?

Did the 2013 pro snow check have the 2.6" on it? Have a line on one and trying to verify lug height

Just put the 2.6 in without changing drivers.....
Pro or assault
It goes right in.

Nothing older than a 2016 has the 2.6 stock.

Ok, I think swapping drivers would be good, the assault was a 144 and only has the intro style drivers, does not have the center extro. We extended it to a 159 and have to run the track pretty tight so it doesn't ratchet. Form what I m thinking the assault 144 and pro tracks are the same pitch tracks?

Take it back, the drivers on the switchback assault are 2.52 pitch. Will have to swap drivers. Would pro rmk drivers work on the assault shaft. Or what is the best place to find drivers for the assault shaft?

Factory 2011/12 Pro Drivers or drivers w/shaft.... or 2011-2016 Std Pro Rmk drivers or drivers w/shaft will also work.

I don't think the Wahl drivers will work on the 2.6" poo track...no drive nubs on the outside of the hyfax with the 2.6".

The Avid "PC style" drivers will work.... and the involute with toothed center from Avid as well (for those timid of trimming rails)

I recommend 7 tooth drivers with that track... will give you some much needed clearance... It is a single ply track, All the factory AXYS sleds are also running the 7 tooth drivers... and they work well ! Heck, I've seen benefits for a buddies sled when he ran 7 tooth drivers with the 2.4"-lug, series 5.1 stock pow track.

The chaincase mod takes about 20 min or less for a good welder/fab. IMO, the added clearance benefits outweigh this minor inconvenience.

With 7-tooth, you will get the added benefit of a bit lower 'gearing' from the smaller drivers.

If you want a bolt on option with the 7 tooth, and no trimming of rails... you can use the driveshaft from a 2016 AXYS sled that uses the chain-drive (Pro w/3"-lug, SKS or Assault)... you will still need to mod the driveshaft.

Good thread from TRS... points to clearance benefits in the ProRide chassis with deep lug tracks.

For the drivers...
You can go with the Center drive 7-tooth from Avid

OR, IMO a better way to go...The "power claw" style Combo drivers... trim the rails and run an anti stab kit.
