pro climb vs pro rmk

well my sled is aparently totaled so i rented a 2012 pro rmk 800, and a 2012 pro artic cat m8 thing.... lol so i wll give ya the skinny on which one performs the best. And FYI, i ride preety hard, which is i guess evident from the beginning of my post! :face-icon-small-coo

Ohh and i think we got a new 600 pro as well! :whip:

At the end of the day, they're close enough that it comes down to who's riding it and what they can do with it. We were out on sunday with all kinds of stock and modded sleds and my buddy on his completely had 07 M8 running like 7500rpm max kicked everyone's ***. Why? Because he can ride and he doesn't care if he crashes it/himself....

I am a ski-doo man, so this is unbiased. I rode Togwotee last week with two buddies. We flew out so we rented two RMKs and one Pro Climb. After four days of pounding these sleds, here is my opinion. We blew the motor on the cat the first day. We rode back on one cylinder on the cat the second day. Day three and four the cat ran good, but blew two belts. Way harder on gas than the polaris. Polaris climbs twice as good. Same rider, same hill, one after the other, the cat climbed half as far and trenches. Polaris is much funner to ride, handles better, seems to have more power, and definitely pops on top of the snow quicker and trenches less. No one wanted to ride the cat. We are all ski doo riders and will definitely be considering ordering 2013 Pro RMKs for next year. Awesome sled that just plain works and is fun.

Proclimb had more power and was fatter. Beat the Polaris in almost all dragraces. It handles well, way too soft of suspension, handlebars had a tone of play, snowflap breaks. Kinda seemed like it wasn't finished. Needs different skis, jumps good! Rmk climbs way better and freelance higher quaity while riding. Ohh and proclimbs gas guages is worthless.

If I total my sled does that mean I ride hard too?!;)

Spent some significant time on the new cat yesterday and really find it to be a pretty impressive sled. Climbing off of my polaris they feel pretty similar. The main difference I feel is the cat feels more planted and takes slightly more input to maneuver where the polaris responds immediately to rider input. The polaris definitely without a doubt gets on top of the snow quicker and better. The polaris is a 155 and the cat a 162 and the polaris feels like its floating much better. You can definitely feel the cat has the power in the motor but it disappears somewhere and doesn't feel like it makes it to the track. These sleds definitely need some clutch work because it is not shifting gears. With that being said the cat will out climb my polaris on a straight hill climb but I don't believe on a side hill the cat can quite pull the same lines yet. Perhaps if I was more used to the cat it could. Overall the cat is very comfortable and with some work they will be amazing sleds but I am happy with my decision to jump over to the polaris for this year, I am unbelievably comfortable on the polaris as if it were designed just for me. But next year after cat has some of its growing pains out of the way maybe I will be back with team green. Til then hopefully we get some more snow storms like we have the last week because holy epic snow out there right now!!!
