Pro Assault suspension set ups

I have a 2012 Assault 155 the best thing to do if you want to do any riding in deep powder is get rid of the stock competition track. It is terrible for anything other then competion and hard pack.
My roommate has a rmk pro 800 155. when we would go out riding, hills that I was pinned the whole way and had to turn out half way up he would fly up to the top no problem. I switched to a Challenger Extream 2.5 155 last year. Its so much better than the Competition track. As far as shocks go i have the coils in the middle for the most part and just adjust the clicker up or down as needed. I drilled out and raised my skid in front when is swithched out the track i didn't have issues keeping up after i swaped tracks.

In the off season i put on anti rachet drivers and dropped a tooth on my chain case (19t/42t). I haven't really tested it other then on flat ground but i havn't lost any top end i still am neck and neck at full throtle with a stock RMK pro.

A decision point I had trouble with initially on my Assault was how to balance spring tension with compression damping adjustments. I went with light spring settings and adjusted clickers to get what I wanted, but mostly so that I would have a full range of adjustment out of the clickers alone. Finally, in contemplating my setup, I realized that the less spring tension you have, the more rebound damping you will have since the spring won't be forcing the shock back up through its stroke. I'm an idiot when it comes to suspension setup, so this was a pretty big breakthrough, the rest of you probably already know this.

Any further input here on what guys are running for the Front Track Shock preload setting after moving the skid to the upper hole?

Find a lot of information on the rear shock. Looking for some guidance as to what guys are running their front track shock preload spring length at for powder riding.

Appreciate any input on this as after searching, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information on the front shock, especially after moving to the RMK mounting hole.

Thanks guys

Getting ready to switch mine up. Had carl's revalve all my shocks. Also went to the 210# rear spring (stock on the Pro RMK). have had my front shock setup quite stiff due to liking a light front end, I have been running a 2.5 peak track. This setup for me was a wheelie monster to say the least! Switching to the pro track, and going to loosen up the front shock a few turns and see how it works before I decide to move my skid up

Do you know what the stock preload is supposed to be at on the spring? most everyone is talking about just a couple of turns, but not sure what the normal/stock setup is supposed to be for the front shock on the assault.

i too am looking for a good set up weigh about 170-175lbs without gear..i moved the skid to the upper hole, everything is stock the

RTS spring is 10.250" clicker on 6,FTS spring is 8.250" and the IFS spring is 9.250",and clickers on 6...does anyone else's have the same set up from factory, and if u have a good set up what are you setting?

Looking at service manual and says the IFS should be 10.750" mine is 9.250" what would i notice different if it was 10.750 vs 9.250?

My pro rmk is 8.25" for the front track spring in length stock.
