pro add on rear cooler

I have just started riding my new to me 2011 pro 800 163, anyway for my type of riding it could use more cooler. I am thinking about building a small u cooler and sticking it in the rear, problem is the wise guys at polaris welded the cross over in, so has anyone tried to do this?
I do have scratchers and use them but we ride super tight trails to treeline and at slow speeds they don`t do much.

Fastrax makes that "add on" cooler for both the PRO and the IQ's.

Ditching the ported snowflap and going with a standard RMK flap will help a lot... I'd try that first and then go the cooler route if you need more.

I have been wondering about adding the front close off cooler from a standard RMK to my pro 8, you would have to buy a new coolant bottle or drill out the stock one and a couple of hoses and the cooler, looks like you would have to drill a couple of holes for the hoses to pass through to bulk head. We looked it up at the dealership and I think I was around 350 bucks. Ouch!

That would work as a last resort. Like already mentioned, try a new flap first. As for the holes in the bulkhead for the front cooler hoses, probably already there.

other than the welding thats the way to go ^^^^^^^ Damn square tubes...lol
