My 2011 Pro is retarding, at first it only happened on the steep and deep. Now it is doing it on the trail. It locks up and goes to 6400 rpms. If you let off the throttle and punch it again it clears right up. Anybody else have this problem? Just dropped it off at the dealer today.

Sounds similiar to a problem my son is having with his '11 800 Pro R. His has 4300 miles on it(1000 on engine rebuild).Just bought it used and don't know when (or if) fuel filter was changed. I will check his fuel pressure first and then filter.

Mine was doing it this weekend, we were riding in about a foot of snow all mtn sleds and I was riding the bumper of who ever was in front of me and mine was doing this. It would go away, no lights nothing flashing what so ever. It was rideable but concerning for what will happen down the road. My take was snow ingestion as I could not see a damn thing and it was heavy wet snow but not sure-nothing like most of you guys on here are used to. Out snow is weak usually, this year it is non existant but just needed to get out there and ride. Any thoughts?

Had a similiar issue with my s.b. assault last year, just after breakin...Midrange stumble...Took to dealer, and ended up being bad injector.
Worth lookin into !!!

deffinetly look into the situation... take into dealer and see if it throws any codes.. they will hoook it up to their computer... had one do the same to a customer and ended up being the injector!!

Dealer had a difficult time on figuring out the problem...mine was getting worse every time I rode the machine....Would stall out every time I pegged the throttle, and was really starting to piss me off...Sled only had less than a couple hundred miles, and in a week we were headed to Island Park, Id.
Picked up from dealer and didn't have chance to test before the trip..Thank god they were able to solve the problem !!!...I believe they had to consult directly with Polaris on the problem....Have not had a problem since !!!
Hard pill to swallow after riding a doo my whole life, with 0 problems !!

Good luck on yours !... I'm sure they will figure it out !!!

Ya they changed the fuel filter 100 miles ago on mine, it was in the shop this summer and now it has 900 miles on the sled.
