pro 600?

Thinking of getting a sled for my kid to ride and a backup sled for me/friends. I thought for him (10 years old) a 144 would be better, but I don't see them available as snowcheck. Any one find them available? Also, what prices for the 600?

Just snowchecked a 144 600 RMK. For me being able to retrack to smaller lugged tracks (converting the RMK to a 600 Assault Switchback) was a selling point. The retail on the sled is $9500, but my long time Polaro dealer gave me a nice break in price. There were no "snowcheck" glitters for the 144 RMK.

You can snowcheck any Polaris sled some just do not have options and the 600 Pro suspension is only on a 155 track sled, 144 track sleds have the older torsion arm suspension

Why is the 600 rmk 22 lbs heavier on the 600 pro, where the 800 rmk is only 10 lbs heavier than pro?

I could be wrong but I think the 144" sled comes with the switchback chassis, which would explain the weight difference.

After a year on the Pro I can tell you that you DO want the new style suspension. The transfer is awesome and makes this sled what it is in the powder. Don't skimp.

All the right comments. But much more than the difference in the 600 RMK rear ends is the difference in the front ends. The 155 versions have the RMK front clip featuring the more vertical steering post and a narrow front end. The 144 model has a RUSH front clip featuring a more laid back steering post, and unique to only this model, a RUSH front end with RMK A-arms, spindles and skis. This combo, to me, provides the sled capable to chase powder with my PRO 800 buds and be set up to run the greatest sled ride of all, the IRON DOG. Yea baby! Do your homework, and throw down accordingly.

I'd agree. I love the way the pro 800 gets on the snow, so since the 600 rmk is the old rear suspension, I don't want it, and I don't want to pay the money for a new pro 600, I'll wait a year or two and get a used one. Going to get a 2007-2009 600 till then.

Thanks for the help
