had the primary spring break on my 2010 M8.....I heard it was a common problem....how about a replacement spring what are your guys recommendations for one
 
Im in the same boat as you. Picked up demo model and it had a broken primary spring. I'm wanting to see if anyone has had good luck with either the gold or green sno pro spring. It seems like the 10's like to engage way to high and I liked having the low engagement on my M7 with the gold. What have people had good luck with?
 
Cat released letter to dealers to replace the broken 2010 black/w orange stripe springs with a orange w/black stripe until a more permanent solution is found.
 
o9 spring

we have been changing them with the yellow 09 spring .it works great .but the sw h5 spring is the way to go.but that replacement is not free.we have replaced atleast 15 so far. they tried to go longer but it didn't work.the ac ti spring is a good one as well it in the o9 hcr not the 10.when changing the spring check the inner shive bushing.i have seen a couple come out this year.

The SW H5 White 125/340 or H5 Blue/white 12/310?
 
Im running the cat yellow white engages a little lower and have faster top end than with the stock spring the speedwerx 140 340 worked well also but a little slower on top.
 
Tried several, ended up with the SLP Blue/Pink. I could not get my top end RPM back with the yellow/white.

Also, added the thunder washers, one on each end.

i'm running the green sw but its on a m1000 all the m8s running the yellow ,i,m going to try the black org and i have another on to try aswell.going out tomorrow to test the new fox burandt kit for the rear skid.
 
steel or alloy? i want something that wont break but still perform well
