Priest Lake????

Anyone rode priest this week or last week? Just wondering how the snow is up there? Thinking of heading there tomorrow for a day trip on the east side? Any info would be appreciated greatly. Thanks Scott

Gotta get above 4500 feet to find ant snow. One there its pretty sweet. Nice base with about a foot of fluff. Awesome boondocking stuff!

Yeah we rode echo bowl yesterday morning until my buddy folded the a arm in on his 900 rmk. It was decent snow still not enough snow to cover a lot of the rocks really good. There are quite a few just inches from the top of the snow. But all in all it was a good day.

Myself and 4 others are planning a trip from Northern Wisconsin to Priest Lake late February. I am sick of the flatlands and want to get away from trails for a few days. I usually stay in the area every Summer for a couple of weeks so I am familiar with at least part of the area. I've never been there in Winter. So my question.....is it worth it to travel that far, this year, given the snow conditions? I will be bringing my 09 CF 8 Sno Pro.

Just spent all day riding the north end of priest lake today, if you like riding the trails, they are in great condition. The two groomers have been doing a great job with the limited amount of snow so far. The snow conditions are about 45-60 % of normal. You need to get above 3500' to ride. I don't think I would drive from the mid west to ride Priest Lake with the current snow conditions, we may get lucky in Feb. lets wait and see.

Thank you for your input. I hope the conditions improve in February. I am somewhat committed to going. My buddy has purchased an airline ticket and I am going to pick him up in Missoula. I guess the other option would be to head south/southwest from Missoula to Mccall or Island Park instead....adds a lot of drive time though....makes me glad I'm not running the winter olympics in Vancouver.
