Priest Lake?

I stopped in at Priest lake this summer while down at Silverwood Park( cool place ) .. Met some great people there and stayed at the Hills Resort. I would love to give it a try this winter, It looked like mostly forest and rolling mtns??? Would like more info?? I don't mind a good RIP on some good trail, but usually use them for backcountry access. Is there the Big Stuff?
 
Fell in love with the place this summer. We stayed by Elkins resort. Looks like a lot of great riding on the east side of the lake. We already made our reservations for after Christmas. Staying in Nordman. Now I just have to get the 800 Dragon in for that recall :(
 
Priest is awesome summer or winter. Here is a teaser......We will be headed up in January as its been a while since we took a road trip North!

mannn i could have gotten you into silverwood for FREE :rolleyes: too late now.

priest lake is amazing to ride. hills place is a nice resort, i go to school with the owners kids. i ride up there a lot, always fun every time!
 
what riding is there by nordman that's steep? don't you just gotta go north to upper priest for anything worth while that isn't a trail?

also, i think i've heard that first pic been called "soldier bowl." is that the correct location?

Friend of mine, name was Mike Repp took us up there. I have no idea exactly where we were, we may have made an entire loop to the other side>? I do remember we ran out of gas 3 miles from the trailers so we had to have been pushing 90 miles. We took a hair pin corner to the right and then through the trees up a creek bed sort of..... Mike knew Ken Wimer (but Ken didn't go that day). We rode over a saddle, then down into a big bowl. I guess it wasn't as steep as I've ever seen, but steep enough we couldn't make it over the top that day. No idea what the names are, not that familiar with the area.

Ahhh! This is in front of the Hills right?? While we were having some HUCKLEBERRY pancakes, WOW, was wicked! we watched six Dudes in there float planes fly into the Hills for breakfast. I was talking to Vinni, ( Ithink that's his name ) at Priest lake motorsports, as well as the guy from Yamaha shop. Very helpfull, thanks to them, as well as all that replied!!!!

I Fly back to the Rockies this morning, I will post some pics soon!

As far as Silverwood!! A perfect place for a family trip! Not just the park, but the people too. Very friendly and very clean place.

i'm almost all out of tickets and it's about to close :(

during the season though i get tickets by the bucket lol and i never use them..so i'll send some your way if you take me riding :cool:

You (and anyone else) is welcome, heck you live there we just visit. We have had some invites from others in the area, I'll give ya a shout when the time comes. I didn't post any pics sdobbs20 did though...maybe he should show me around? Gonna be a busy winter! Can't go anytime in December with my job so I make up for it afterwards!

that will actually probably work perfect for me. i've never dropped down into that soldier bowl, as the few times i've been there the weather was horrible and the snow was too deep to make it back up, i'm not sure how else to get there though.

i'm in missoula (university of montana) til december 18th. 2nd semester starts back up january 20th or something so i'll have be riding as much as i can for that month. i'll look you up when i'm back in spokane.
 
i've never been up that way either, but it would be worth it to climb the pencil chute... whens everyone planning on goin?
