Bump. Wanting to head to Priest soon!

Spent the last two days up there. Stayed at Cavenaugh bay, rode Sundance, trip to Schweitzer for lunch and echo bowl area. No one around except moose and plenty of snow up high.

How is preist doing?

Any report on the conditions would be appreciated... Planning a trip out that way.

Was there this weekend, rode east side, 6000 feet 8 inches of powder on top of rain crusted base, needs snow. Okay if you are into trail riding.

Hoping it may get better with all the new heading there way.

Conditions at priest Lake (east side)

FYI The wife and I rode the east side of Priest Lake today, went up Sundance North (trail 21) to the I/S of Sundance-Camels Prairie (trail 2) About 8-12 inches of fresh powder. Conditions continued for the next 5 miles then we ran into the Groomer, from that point to Echo Bowl (Camels Prairie Warming Hut). we had fresh groomed trails. Many trails around the Warming Hut were un-groomed. However the trail down the Mt. was groomed (trail 22). At the bottom of trail 22 the road turned into ice, due to logging operations. Stay away from that area. Use Sundance North, Center, or South to get up on the Mountain. Have fun.

Looking to head there this weekend. The forecast looks pretty good.. Anyone local have any snow predictions for the week?

snow conditions

save your time and money, not much snow over the last couple of weeks (a couple of inches) day time temp. mid 30's and up, a little rain washed away the little snow we got, not much snow in staging areas. I live 30 miles away and not going up there until we get addition snow. Might be an early Spring.
No trails have been groomed this month

Rode the east side of the lake twice in the last few weeks. Haven’t seen a soul or another track. Yeah down low is a little sparse but we were in 7’ of fluff and not even at the top. We’ll be there again this weekend!

snow conditions

We rode yesterday above Nordman (302 parking area) the trails were in great condition. The groomers have been working every week so far this Month. Doing a great job. The higher up the snow conditions just get better. If the snow down low does not get washed away, you should be able to ride another few weeks.

the selkirks have been off the hook since about the second week of february. ride until mid may this year, no issue.
