The story, as I heard it, was that this rookie was climbing this hill and didn't quite have enough speed to make it over. (I say "rookie" because I noticed he has a 2002 slc olympic coat - not to judge people by their clothes but kind a hard not to) He tried to stick but it started fish tailing on him because it was really icy. He eventually lost momentum and started going backwards, so he bailed. The sled rolled 2-3 times and some how the back end finally stuck and it stopped. They are lucky because if it would have kept going it would have gone into some quakies. So this dudes friends started doubleing up on sled and then bailing off as they climbed to help. There were four guys working to get it turned around and unstuck and then it broke loose - that's when that pic was taken. A couple guys were down hill of the sled (crazy) so they ran for their lives. It was just like one of those Jackson Hill climb recovery teams... My favorite is the dude that is at the bottom of the pic sliding on his back down hill.

If you put that coat on the best rider in the world it would seriously have negative affects on their performance lol
reminds me of when I worked at the Bird and the Owner of snowbird DICK BASS would rock out this bright flourescent multi colored 80's one piece suit hahaha
this was 2002-2003 and this guy is a multi milliona seriously lol
we would always yell "HAUL A$$ DICK BASS " haha

So you're talkin the Grove. I've heard it's great but I've never been. That's a little to far for my crew tomorrow. They are complaining about being in Heber by 7:30 so we can head to Mirror Lake. That is about as far North as I can get them to go on a day ride but I'm into new areas. If we get any more pow I would like to go see that area. Post how it goes tomorrow and I will do the same. In the meantime let's all do the snowdance again.
