Preping to paint for bare aluminum

Hey guys I've got a por-15 kit I'm getting ready to use It comes with their degreaser. But my old sled is pretty greasy (I want to touch up my old sleds powder coating before it goes in for a trade appraisal at the end of the week).

Should I wash with another degreaser first and save their stuff for my new sks? Or what's a good plan

Basically need to touch up what flaked off on the running boards and where the scratchers are as some marks from trees in the a arms

If need be I will paint the whole works if the patching is that obvious, but I'd really love to save the most paint possible for my new sled

So do I use a different degreaser on the old sled, or just dawn and water or what's everyone think

Soap and water, then the degreaser and make sure to let degreaser air dry.

I usually do an aluminum acid etch after it is clean but just depends how long you want it to last.

Sand it with 180 grit... and to break all loose paint... clean it well with degreaser... rinse it well...let dry in heated area ...

Paint the whole board on both sides IMO.

Also...wear gloves... the only thing that removes POR-15 from your skin... is time.
