Pre- season tune up?

Just curious what I should do to my 09 m8 to get it ready for the up-coming season? And since its an 09 does warrenty cover certain tune ups after so many miles or anything? It has 450 miles

You can look at your plugs just to make sure they are burning correctly. If you changed your oil in your diamond drive it should be fine unless your sled was sitting somewhere where there is very high humidity where maybe some water could have gotten in. As far as doing your powervalves you remove the two screws that secure them to the cylinder and pull them straight out, Make sure when you are pulling them out not to damage the gaskets. When cleaning them most guys use a good carbon cleaner to remove any deposits on the valves. If you are going to disassemble the valves make sure to pay close attention on how they came apart for reassembly. You will also want to clean the area of the cylinder that the valves go into to make sure they are clean. As far as warranty covering any of this you are out of luck A.C. doesn't cover any preseason checkups. You may want to check your belt also to make it is in good shape and that your deflection is correct.

Hope this helps Jeff

I would do the plugs after the first tank of gas runs through it. You don't need to but why not.

My list:

Clean your clutches and belt well.
Check alignment.
Check all bolts.
Check power valve cables and adjustment.
Check track tension
Grease
Change DD oil (best to do at the end of last season so stuff doesn't rust all summer)
Drain gas and refill with fresh stabilized fuel
Remove and clean primary, clean up and wipe shaft with WD40 prior to replacement (prevents seizure)
Check weights, pins, bushings.
Check tail lights and headlights
