Anyone that has a free minute, drop a prayer for my son please. He just left for surgery and will be in there all day. The Dr. made us aware of some major concerns yesterday and we really didn't need to hear that. So, anyone extra help we could get today would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks!!

Best of luck, I can imagine your stomach turning.. similar thing happend with me and my dad a few months ago when I was in.. he was stressed to say the least.. If you dont mind I ask, whats the surgery for.

Putting a rod in his spine to straighted him out. (scoliosis) He has Neurofibromutosis and the Dr is concerned that his spine might be too soft (condition of the disease) for the screws, wont know until he gets in there I guess. Some of the words the Dr. used after telling us that were quite unsettling. Going to be a long day, already wore out one pair of shoes:D

My 3 year old daughter had a minor surgery about 3 weeks ago. That's the hardest thing i've ever wnet through. My thoughts and prayers are with your child and family

I'm working down stairs in x-ray if you need to talk or anything. Here till 2:30 then back in town on Tuesday evening.

Good luck with the boy1

Yes. Tuesday sounds good. Maybe we can get together for a brew or something next week.

Unfortunatly its something we all go through sooner or later. its not fair good people and familys suffer. The key to all of this is to smile, keep your jaw tight and alot of damn good friends. Friends Friends

Man Jsled, sorry to hear that. kids are tough , docs are amazing and by far the hardest thing in this world is a dad watching his loved one in jeopardy, Our prayers are with you, your son, and your family...we got your back...mike

I pray everything turns out o.k. There is nothing worse then having to watch a child suffer. Good luck.

Prayers are sent :), children make it through some of the toughest situations with more strength than I think any adult can have...Good Luck lil guy & hang in there!

Prayer sent.
I am a new dad, only 1.5 years, but I can only imagine what you and your family are going through.
I have only went through some minor hospital visits and it was still very hard to deal with.
Hold your head high.

thank you for reaching out and letting us know to pray for your son, and the doctors...

will gladly do so...please let us know how things go...

prayer sent from here as well,

My 9 year old just went through fairly routine surgery and I was a wreck for two weeks, good luck

Thanks people!!! Keep it coming, so far so good. It's about 5:30 and he's been out since about 8 and has 3-4 hours left. The general surgeon was in surgery for nearly 14 hours yesterday and again that much today, these people are like machines, maybe I should go spray them down with Amsoil:D.

As soon as we get the word that everything went as planned and is A-ok... there's going to be a tall cold :beer; get taken out of it's misery.

I didn't have grey hair when I got may haircut Monday, I do now.
