powerclaw

i looking for a new track for my nytro i hear the powerclaw is unreal for going up, but coming down u have no control and its all over the place at best!! thats why i was leaning to a camo, can anyone help me out?

i have never herd that before but i did hear that the HCR powerclaw was a lot stiffer then the 1 on the other sleds but only available in a 153" . i have the challenger extreme and i love it. i don't think you would be disappointed with the challenger extreme. IMO.:beer;

I ran the CE in my Apex last year and will have one under my Nytro this year. I wasnt bad coming down at all..

I put a 162 Power claw on last season and it rocked! It never let me down and I was going every where the M8s were going. The ONLY time it felt like it was slipping was on hardpack snow trying to side hill. (sled sitting flat on the hill, not pulled up on its side, going straight across the hill)

I went down some pretty steep hills and as long as you dont lock the track up it felt fine.

For downhill the Camoplast is far better. Deep pow, and up hill the powerclaw is better. For coming down hill the powerclaw slip seemed exaggerated on the Nytro compared to the M chassis. If you are worried about braking power go with the Comoplast 2.5.

i am having this problem right now also.. 153 pc or 155/156 camo extreme??? I like the idea that i could consider going 16 wide with the camo but i like that the pc is light...

It will be on a non boosted nytro for this year(if i make it the season without boosting)) so i am a bit worried about the extra rotating mass??

I also have just bought a 09 Nytro and have not rode it yet with the Mav
It will be naturally aspirated (LOL sounds better than non turboed)
but I have been thinking about the 16" wide 2.5 maybe big wheel kit
can the stock Nytro turn a 162 very well? I know the 2010se is 162
coming off a piped viper 144x16 and ride with several 800 doo mostly 144's
and a couple Poo's 800 and 600 RMKs really wondering how it will perform maybe I will ride it my first trip with the Mav and go from there?

I'm going Powerclaw. Rode my buddies new M8 with a powerclaw late last spring and was sold. Can't wait to see what it does under my Nytro.

IMO you cant go wrong with either the CE or the powerclaw. As it was said, the powerclaw is lighter. When I put the 162 on my sled I didn't lose any track speed, and I could actually tell when my sled back shifted since i was finally getting traction. I was climbing right with the M8s in our group, but I also have a timbersled mtn tamer.

You'll be happy with either track, they are night and day better than the pos maverick.

last year when i was running without a turbo on my nytro i slapped on a 162" powerclaw and timbersled and used hartmans clutching and let me tell you this, I gave alot of people on m8's and summits a run for there money.

the downhill thing is dramatically exagerated...primarily by those who are not used to Rider forward style sleds, then they get on a sled with powerclaw, and it freaks them...

I am switching to the 174" track...just want more...so the powerclaw has been sold...but if I had not seen the 174 in action, I would not be selling my powerclaw...
