Powerclaw or Challenger Extreme on d8?

put the cam extreme, the best mod you can do IMO, the brakes actually work with this track and it is a all around great track

camo ex is the way to go i hear the powderclaws suck going down hills the camo works great in every way, my guess is its just like every track put out by cat just like the attact 20s once the hype wears off they will have f/s signs on them and a camo wraped around the skid with a smile on the owners face

just something to think about theres still people on here that think the tracks that come on the dragons are good they dont hold a candle to a camo i mean not even close putting a camo is the best mod you can do in my book. its that big of a difference

Had them all not on the D8 but none the less... The PC track works very well in a wide variety of conditions, believe me I have seen them all so far here in WA in the last 2 seasons.

I rode last season with both ..09 cats with the pc and an 07 D-7 with camo x.2.5..the camo x impressed me more then the pc in the 4 different powder snow conditions we saw over 4 weekends at different riding areas....this year mine got the 2.5 extreme as well as curt's(fastrax motorsports)drop and roll..it works so much better then the 5.1 its not even close..only 1 place I ride have I been happy with the performance of the 5.1..everywhere else it was giving up a bunch to other tracks..

I have one on my 09 D8 and it is everything everybody has talked up. It's amazing how much the performance improvied on the D8 once I got rid of that flimsy stock track. You pick up a little weight with the camo extreme, but it is worth it. I found that it was tough to stay on top of really light soft snow, but that is the case with any track. Once you learn to get off the throttle when you start to trench you start to climb much better.

If I had a stock D8, the first mod I would put into it would be the camo extreme followed by a can and Better Boards.

My cut and screwed 5.1 track works as good as my friends 09 m8 162 powerclaw, and the mod cost a whole $6.00

If it matters you can get a Extreme without swapping drivers. Snow conditions change every hour so I doubt it matters which one you choose. They're both great tracks and I think the PC is living up to the hype. The Attack 20 was a joke after half a season.

i have 500ish miles on mine with the 90 durometer power claw and i dont know what people are talking about, it works just fine going down hills, and we descend some pretty steep chit. works great in every situation i can put it in so far, not to mention the fact that it is over 10lbs lighter than a camo extreme, 10lbs of rotating mass is a lot of unused hp. in my opinion the powerclaw is hands down the best way to go

My Camo Extreme works well on my D8 155. The stock track is poor and who wants to cut every lug and put studs in it. Sounds n****r rigged.

if it works good like they say they do but like i posted earlier that people think the stock polaris track works good. i say camo but for $6 give it shock cant hurt

Avi8tormd..how ever it's rigged if it's BETTER and doesn't cost much then who wouldn't want that? The "sounds" are more mis-informed then how it's "rigged".:D:D

Let's see..so far no less then 45,000 snowmobilers walked past, looked at, sat on, stood on (including YOU) , and OR even have ridden it...how the track appeared was not a comment that was ever... ever... EVER mentioned!

Doesn't do that bad in the snow either...but I'm only talking from experience so let's not get too carried away!:D

Both tracks are ridiculous good! But either are expensive updates, I would have a hard time justifying if there's nothing wrong with the track you have. Crunch the dollar numbers and if the update makes sense, then I would still try F-bombs mod. and ride it hard-see what you think. That being said, the x-treme would be more of a 'drop-in' track swap if you were happy with the tunnel clearance. The PC would take different drivers along with modifications to drivers and you would have to address rail length as tracks are different lengths also.

The screws are an old hillclimber trick. I expect that F-Bomb didn't just fall off the turnip truck, he has been around the block a couple of times. Everything climbing on RMSHA is screwed and cut that I have seen. I have no doubt it works, or the best riders in the west wouldn't be doing it. That being said..... I still think that the best $1000.00 mod you can make to a sled ridden in the deep powder is the extreme track. I have a 07 600 RMK stock engine and a 162 2.5 extreme and love it. I am currently saving my lunch money and stealing from my wife's purse for the Carl's 660 kit. F-Bomb makes it sound better than sliced bread.

screws on hard snow now thats a whole different ballgame. if you got the money go with the camo if you dont want to mess with screw. my 7hundo runs fantastic with a 174 i wouldnt even hesitate to run a 174 on a 600
