Power Commander or Boondocker?

I have the boondocker right now on my M1000 with bmp exhaust and ported cylinders and head and it has seemed to work okay but I have noticed that everyone is bragging up the pc3 is it really that much better? Are you people that are using it just using the settings that are ajustable on the box or are you using laptops to really fine tune it?

Pc iii are now out dated.

While the PCIII may be "outdated" it is still a proven tuner. And according to the Power Commander website the PC5 is still under development. I think the auto tune will be cool. Just depends on what mods you are running too. If you are just running SLP stuff they have maps that can be pre-programmed. For your setup the PC5 could be better because either way you will have to build a map.

The Power Commander has better fine tuning then the Boondocker box!! I would get the power commander!!

Pc V is way small compared to the III, so it would be better in that sense.
Call jim at dyno tech, get a subscription, and go from there.
I have the boon docker controller on mu Suzuki race quad and would much rather have a power commander for it.
I think the V far out weighs the iii I'm features and abilities.

PC V is now availible for M-8/1000. I have one. No maps yet but you can make them. Add Auto Tune and life is good.

I have a NGK wide band o2 sensor it has two output wires on it. Can I hook up the ngk wide band to the pc 5 for auto tune or do I have to buy dyno jets o2 sensor?

As long as its a bosch O2 sensor it will plug into the auto tune.

Why did it take this long to come out with a set up like this for sleds? Cars have been running it for 25 years.

Just called dyno jet they said I will need to use the auto tune module. The NGK AFX has a 0-5v ref. ckt. the PC V uses a CAN data line.

i use a power commander on my 09 m 1000, not one ounce of trouble!! st.arting line products set it with there lap top so all you have to do is put it in and go!!!!! ride from 4800 feet to 10000 feet.. works awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
