PowderKeg and Fuel Keg install on 2011 PRO RMK

I own a new 163 Pro as well and I installed one of these set ups on it. Very easy install and very easy to get on and off of the machine. I carry the shovel under the storage compartment and I also carry one in my back pack. Have been using it for a month now and have not had any problems with moisture getting inside and it rides perfectly on the sled and there are no leak issues with the fuel can. The only negative comment I had was be the price tag but once I recieved it, put it on the sled and tried it out that was no longer an issue. Well built and functions great. Defintely recommend it.

So............ how much was it???

500 mile follow up. So I have put 500 miles on the powder keg. A few things I would note. Im still learning how to use these california approved spill proof necks...It took me a little bit to figure out how they work, but I got it working fine. I have rolled the sled a few times getting it unstuck and the powderkeg has shown no damage. I keep the shovel head, 2 water bottles, snow bunje, some beef jerky a pair of glove inside no problem.

Just installed mine. I am worried about the fuel spout?? any pointers, I am considering replacing it with a standard spout.

ya heres a pointer....if you find a standard spout buy it! its not Powderkegs problem its the frick EPA and these GHEY spouts. If you find one buy me one too. I cant find old spouts anywhere around here.

Different setup

I had to be a little different and put a powder keg on but I didn't like that the Polaris one was so frickin small. If the didn't put the huge hump in the bottom of it it would probably hold twice as much stuff.

I mounted a Skidoo Powder keg on mine.

I am going to turn it around backwards so I can scoot it up closer to my seat. but so far its working great for me. I didn't use the clips on the side but rather drilled holes in the bottom of it and mounted it up with some carriage bolts with fender washers and wing nuts inside. That way I can still take it off fairly quickly but it isn't going to come off unexpectedly.

I installed the arctic cat box on a polaris for one of my customers and it actually fits pretty well. We had to do some slight modification it was on the polars 800 rmk not the pro. I set it on my pro 155 and it fit pretty nice just not quite as clean as the polaris keg. If anyone is interested in any of these powder kegs send me a message as I am a dealer for powder keg and will help you on your purchase. Jim

Another Keg down

This thread is awesome and shows what a nice product the powder keg is, I ordered one for my 11 assault yesterday from Jim just based on reading this thread. So thanks for the sharing this info.

Hands down, the nicest storage ox out there. I think that if they made a polaris box, that wasn't humped up in the middle, they would sell a bunch of them too. You would have to have a separate fuel can but not everyone packs fuel. Great product. Anybody that packs a bag and sees these will want one.

agreed, they should have one same size, one piece without the gas can.

Turbolover......can you repost your pics of the skidoo keg mounted on your Polaris? Did you mount the fuel keg and powder keg?

I'd love to see the cat style mounted on Polaris's too. They have double to storage capacity. 800 cu. in. to 1900 cu. in. is a big increase!
