i dont know about you guys but to much powder sucks IMO
snow flying in your helmet, cant see ****. goggles foggin up no matter how $$$ they are, sled boggin, snow creepin in your coat(and dont say it doesnt)

yes i must say powder is the "only" way to go but only to a certain limit.
stuckcold snowinthe face fest's arent fun for me even though i dont get stuck that much, but when u got a group goin sh!t hits the fan.

You need a good sled and know how to ride it. It does kind of suck because it limits where you can ride. Defintaly not making any big steep climbs on the first shot. got to get picky on who you ride with too. No fun riding with some one that gets stuck all day and can not go any where.
I do like it though because it keeps most people on the trail and out of all the tough to get to spots. It could stop snowing today and I could be riding fresh every day for two weeks as long as it does not get sunny out (visibility) and the snow does not set up.
Lately we have had fresh powder every where right off the trail because most people will not go off in fresh powder unless it is tracked up pretty good with how deep it is right now. Heck.. wed and thur their was no one on the trails because they were not groomed and about 3' of fresh pow. we were breaking trail every where all day. A week ago I was spending most of my day trying to find fresh snow. Spots I thought their was no way any one had rode were tracked up because visibility was good and any one could ride any where.

I see what your saying. my sled can go most places others dont. and yes i rather ride powder all day then anything else. but sometimes it just gets to be to much powder flying over the hood straight into your helmet and you cant see anything wich kinda sucks imo

what im really sayingg is 3 feet of fresh pow is better then 6 in the end cause you can still do anything you want to. but not getting stuck everywhere and you can see!

if you step off your sled and you sink in over your head, thats too much powder...

other than that its game on and dont get off your sled! :D ride the deep!!!

ugh i stepped off my sled and it went to my chest, im 6'4... and ride a 144 while my buddie is on an m7 162 ahaha my hp didnt do sh!t for me that day!!!!!!!! on the climbs atleast, i could still pass him on the flats. all in all, id say 4 ft of fresh is awesome, as liong as it isnt WET

First, I promise I wont step off my sled.
Second, I ride it deep because I like it going over the hood and in my face.

It happened i experience to much snow this week, we got 6.5" of snow in a week, during the week, and there have been BAD avys so nobody really went out all week and the groomer was still in the shed, my friends went out and they couldnt even make it up part of the trail that is like a quarter mile hill, maybe 15-20 degrees, the are riding kk 162 camo extreme with pipe can and mesh hood and a lightly modded m7, they track poached each other for about an hour and then went home and waited until it was groomed. it set up the next day and the trail was groomed, but even two diff m7 153s would get stuck if you stopped on any sort of flat of uphill fresh.

i agree, 3-4 feet is all you need, but beyond that, it gets bad, choking on snow, and stuff like that, getting stuck getting off the trail is another one that makes you feel cool, i think it was the only time i wanted spring snow.

I LOVE FACESHOTS!!! How can you beat carving around and taking pile after pile of snow to the face? I live for snow like we have right now.

I was reminded several times yesterday that I should remember to put my goggles back on before driving under the snow.:)

k you guys gotta remembver i live in bc and im not an old timer. i love powder and we get lottttts of it up here, sometimes its just to much

No such thing as too much ! The more the better. Never had any bogging issues or snow getting in my jacket ! Love the super deep !

i am looking at the M for my next sled - do they divert more snow away from the rider than the other brands. Seems that the old 1998 wedge RMK was the best sled for breaking trail in deep pow conditions - never got snow in the face even with 4+ ft of pow and if you parked facing downslop you never got stuck, and all we had were the old 136x1.75 track.

I took the windshield off my m7. With it on the snow would hit me right in the face. With the windshield off if I stand up and lean forwards the snow hits me in the chest and I can still see.

I absolutely LOVE the deep snow.......love it flying in my face. :face-icon-small-hap I stopped on Sunday to take my breath box out so I could get more fresh air as I was tearing the chit out of the snow, only to find that I was then inhaling a lot of pow! :face-icon-small-coo Nothing like having your sled totally covered in snow (including behind the windshield), and having your body painted completely white in front from this wonderful snow we have to ride! :face-icon-small-hap :face-icon-small-hap

One other thing it does when it's REALLY deep, it tends to keep peeps away from the hills and out of high avy danger areas, because no one can get there anyway. :)
