possibly jumping ship next year

Yes.. you're absolutely right, NOBODY is blowing belts for any other reason. The aftermarket guys like MVM, and racinstation... they're just blowing smoke about clutch work, you know how dishonest THOSE guys are... always trying to sell unneeded stuff:face-icon-small-dis

Come on man... can't you recognize that SOME (not all or most imo) sleds have other issues?

Never said they didn't have problems just tired of them getting blown way out of proportion yes there are some that blow belts some brands break axles ect. I am just trying to say that the clutch offset is critical venting needs done.

So how do you set the clutch offset up properly?

11t

the 12 have steering like a nytro or skidoo, I personally liked it, I have a 13 and could take or leave the steering. The track is hand down better and the stance makes them easier to tip..
coming off an apex you would be more comfortable on a 13, If you find a 12 cheap enuff you will want to change the track and it will most likely only take a couple rides to get comfortable with the steering..
buying used is a better way to go than new as long as you can trust who you are getting the sled from or have seen it run. some of these sleds have belt problems some dont.. julio

My thought process is that they basically have to come out with some sort of fix for the belt issues, Cat cant just leave it.....could they? So with that being said there is a lot of them for sale for cheap!

lucky you

800 miles ZERO belt issues

two seasons and only 800 miles ?

and no they dont, the manufacturers (not just cat) put out sleds with problems that they leave for the aftermarket to solve and never look back.. that said it will get solved but you will have to buy it not cat

12 and 13 turbos aren't usually belt blowers due to clutch alignment. Usually it seems like it is a much harder to diagnose problem like the primary or secondary binding. You don't hear of many 12 1100Ts being belt blowers, but the 2013s have garbage clutches and are giving the 2012 1100T a reputation it doesn't deserve.
