Possible track repair?

Is there any hope of safely repairing this track? Just got home from my first ride of the year and found this. It’s cut through the base of the lug and through the edge of the track. Is loctite 404 and some stitching good enough?

I wouldn't have high hopes that glue or tying it together will hold long term. A couple hundred miles, possibly, a couple thousand miles, no. You could spin over something hard again it will tear it open more.

We tired the loctite 404. its just cracked. too brittle We fixed about 6-7 splits like this

We did the repair this summer haven't tried it out yet. We used E6000 and 3K plain weave Carbon fibre cloth fabric(amazon) did a coating of the E6000 set the finer cloth into it and re coat over top to saturate the cloth.

Figured the E6000 needed some support

I use ECRF cold bond to repair tracks. When I get a tear I use Kevlar string and stitch for strength then coat with a couple layers of the ECRF. Works really good.
I check my track after each ride and make repairs to ripped lugs as necessary.

Bond all the seams back together with E6000. Wipe off excess glue. Then stitch it together with braided fishing line. Then cover the stitches and entire area with another coat of E6000. Then just look it over after every ride.

There is a product called Glue Tread, that is used to fix sidewall cuts on ATV / UTV tires. Seems to work very well for that application. If i recall, they even have a version of it that is used on car & truck tires.

You might do a little research on it to see if this might be a possibility for your situation.

Cut the paddle off then e6000 it in two coats. Make sure it cures properly. Might need a stitch. Hard to tell with the picture.

I looked it up and Tread Glue looks like it might be a good candidate for paddle repairs. It comes with glue and rubber patches you can cut to size. I ordered the external patch for tractor tires. Give it a go. only 40 bucks canadian on amazon

What track is that? Has the camso lightweight track clips?!?!

Looks like an ole series 6 that got clipped on the paddles by the owner because Polaris decided it was a good idea to leave them off for that model year.

Any pictures of the repair? I used E6000, cleaned surfaces, cured several days with heater under tunnel and tarp over it, first ride out and it failed completely. Vertical split in a lug, partial, and a crack down lower... Loctite 404 with primer is what I have heard works best...

I had no clue what I was doing and got a tire patch kit from the HW store.
I cleaned the infected lug really well, trimmed away the dead flesh, then roughened the surface with a flap wheel and cleaned again.
I heated the lug with a gun until nice and hot and applied the self-adhesive tire patch with its corresponding activator and clamped it in place over night.

Has held up since. But this was just a split up a lug, not down at the base.
