Why isnt there more talk aboiut this? With the warranty's going out of date people should be jumping all over it. Some good posts about the Slp stage 4 package in the other thread but I'd like to hear about other peoples setups.

Who ports anymore when u can turbo:face-icon-small-hap

What is "aboiut"?:bounce:

Many people still are doing porting or stage 4 style motors or BB for a few reasons.
Reputable places like Carls or SLP or many others make them more reliable than stock, instant on off throttle response increased mid range power as well as big top end pull.

Most ported and worked motors or BB will take a turbo easily in a race for at least 500 to 750 ft. The kind of riding most are doing now adays has more to do with on off throttle and instant power needed. Now if your going to go highmark giant hills all day or climb shoots you may bennifet from turbos but you will never get the reliability of a good motor builder from a turbo.

"you know who" has a new wiggle that has been massaged and perfected over the past few seasons on these motors....

That's in the plans for me next summer. Doug's work was awesome on my 01 mod and can't wait to do it. In fact I'm gonna wave my last year of warranty good bye when I do, but it will be worth it. Is he just doing porting or is he building entire motors? Long Rod?

As far as I know Doug's just porting. He's probably finishing up mine this week. Had him do my old edge years ago. Excited to see how this sled runs. I've done the Turbo thing. Loved it but like to try different setups. I Want the power of my old 1200 triple again! Doug and Curt at Fastrax have never let me down....I'm sure this will be a great sled and will be by far the best bang for the buck.

See ya this weekend snodawg....if ya still want those hand guards.

Yep, not sure what time we will be there. We have a couple of deer to drop off at the butcher first. I was planning to talk to Curt on Sat anyways. Can't wait to see how yours runs.
