Ported Verus Non Ported Tracks

I ported my 162 camo extreme with two 2" holes about the same place that doo has their square holes.

The biggest difference for me wasn't weight (3+lbs). It was rolling resistance. Wow!The track rolls so easy. It's as flexible as a rag. The sled accelerates up slope so quickly compared to the previous track.

We don't have bottomless pow here so I can't comment on that, it but does a great job with all the conditions, I have tried it in.

I have played on some water crossings and I don't like it, there. It goes across, but doesn't wheelie across like my other tracks/sleds did.

The snow doesn't build up in my suspension at all. I like that aspect alot!

You guys are worrying me, but I'll prolly port my next one.

I wonder on the Doo switch out..... if they are comparing the exact same track just one was ported, or if they have changed a few other things on the unported track?????????

^^Doo hasn't changed their overall track design in years. . .

im not sure what over "all means"......but i do know doo has had 4 completely difference tracks since 2003:light:

on the topic, the 06 X and 07 boht adn and X are both fine, sure they went bigger with the window and its not really needed

ive have a dozen sleds since 2004....most of them doo

the camo X works just fine with some ports, porting the power claw is just plain silly, its a single ply track that is already weak enough

for what its worth, im going back to the power claw on this years turbo sled and am done with the camo X, no porting, just plenty of boost and a better rear skid:face-icon-small-hap
