did 08 xp have ported tracks? i looked at 09 today and they have huge square ports cut out. i'm prety sure i will rip the track right off on a tree, since these sleds are so good in the trees. LOL oh and the back of the sled can't weigh more then 30#

Yes the 08 XP tracks were ported the same as the new 09's.

i have run over a ton of trees and rocks, and never ripper a track, and i did a bad job porting mine, my suspension broke and shanked a grooved down the center of the track, ran another 500 miles on it, and its still fine. i wouldnt worry to much about the track ripping, you will have to do something pretty silly to rip the track in half

*cough*
yep, pretty silly indeed. =\
2 holes down the middle..
Track issue? Porting issue? Smashing into a Cat issue? I'm not sure which..
I didn't port the new track I put on it.
My 162 on the Nytro is ported w/ a 2-1-2 (i think) down the middle..

i wish i could have gotten a track that quick, and swapped it then and there..instead of doing what we did to get it out.. paul wishes he didn't know me now. lol a couple hours? of wrenching and reinstall would have been much more enjoyable than spending the DAY dragging it up that hill and out on a rope... but i really didn't wanna leave it for a week either. and come back to a bare chassis, so...

fwiw..i have spun my turbo nytro track at ~60+ mph track speed over a few trees on a couple pulls.

i was sorta skeered, but track looks fine still. :P
