My wife and i were able to test ride today in 2ft of snow-- pro rmk 600, 800 and assault. There really didn't feel to be that big of difference between them. However we really didn't get to ride how they are all intended to be rode. I had a 2008 800 Dragon and wife has a 2007 600 switchback. She experienced quicker response, smoother ride and loved the 600 to go in deeper snow with more power. I will probably snow check a
800 and she will snow check the 600, i feel i will have a little bit more stability and power through deeper powder. Truly we didn't see a significant difference and it really has been hard to decide what to purchase.

We're in the same boat... I'll get an 8, there's no doubt there, just which length now to decide.
As for her she was set on an 8 also, I think she can handle it just fine, but after hearing other women talk about the 6 I think she would be more comfortable on the 6.
