Polishing/matching ports on turbos

Been around 2 strokes and turbos enough to know that porting is tricky for turbos.

But what about just cleaning up the ports and matching case to jugs, a little polishing. I did this a ways back on a N/A 800 edge and had a nice gain in power/response..If I remember right I had to add 2-3 grams to the weights.

Any know if this is worth doing to a turbo 800 CFI?

I have tried several different porting setups for the CFI engine ,I am 100% sure you will see a very small gain by doing what you have stated but there is a way to port that cylinder to make huge gains. Actually 9-10% gain !!:face-icon-small-con

Curt at Fastrax lowered my port timing and ported the cylinders on my cfi4....the throttle response is instantaneous! Leaps and bounds better than the stock setup
