The filter material is a nylon and polyester blend that provides superior air flow and snow/water repelant. Material is very durable and we stand behind our vents. If you tear or damage one just send your vents back and we will re-screen them for you no questions asked.

The vents are solid, I would not be concerened about bending them, if you hit a tree there may be some damage........along with your hood.
