Polish tunell, what to use?

I used "Autosol" last year, and it worked great. But it did not last long until it looked "old" again...

Do you polish, and wax it for better protection?

What do you use?

Mothers aluminum polish, lots of elbow grease, and seal it with some caranuba wax. Takes a little time to get it finished, but when its done it looks pretty good.

Another mothers user here. works great but it is a lot of work the first time. if you polish twice a year or so, it is alot easier after the first go around. I have never tried waxing after, maybe I will this year. Has anyone tried taking the mothers off with a power buffer?

power ball, liquid mothers, hand polish all tight spots. nothing will really help keep the shine, it will always fade with time and use. even tried to shoot some wheels i polished with clear but over time the clear started to flake off and look like crap. i polish mine after every use, maintaining it is just easier for me...

89sandman: That looks great :D

Wish my tunnell looked like that. Guess i'll continue using "Autosol" then,
since it is a type of aluminum polish..

I polished mine a little bit....

took about 8 hours, started with tripoli, & a cutting wheel on a car buffer, next I went with jewelers rouge and a polishing wheel and the same buffer, finished it off by hand with mothers billet polish and a microfiber. last great all year! snow did not stick to it at all....

Use your aluminum polish as normal ether with power ball or rag then when there is lots of black residue sprinkle white flour on it and the flour will absorb the black residue, whip it off with a rag and it will leave a clean finish.

Me too. Aluminum polish and flour.. hehe

Tried with a regular car polish today, seemed to work just as well as the aluminum polish i used before..

I used mothers polish with the Mother's power buffer cone, it was nice to have the cone shape to get in the tight spots.
