pole building/barn question

looks like you did a nice job!!! looks similar... If you plan on a loft or storage above, would suggest bracing beneath the decking...we did this on ours as we store hay in the loft....

here is ours framed, now covered and full of hay and horses...

man I am jealous, around here you can't hand stack rafters, use round poles, gotta notch the posts and the nailing schuedule is over the top. I have seen a millioin pole barns and not one has fallen down. mine oughta be good for a 300mph blow, 50 ft snow. and I have not started the electric yet.....but it can prolly withstand a direct lightning strike 3x a minute.

built it all my self put the trusses on and thought i had them braced ok. the shop had 2 week points that the heavy trusses showed me in a 80 mph wind. i can never hear the wind in my house but that night i was woke up by the wind got up ran to the window and there was nothing standing nothing over 1 foot abouve ground. that sucked very bad!!!

insurance did me right and 2 months after that i had it all back up (with help) and both little flaws fixed too.

spring

here is apic of the inside of my pole building. the loft is excellent, but the crane is the cats meow. I think you will like this pic. The clothes line is very handy for hanging tents, tarps ect to dry.

the loft did go in after inspection.
