Polaris Warranty VOID??? HELP!

Can a stage 2 kit from SLP void the warranty if the engine goes?? I mean will my warranty stand with my kit on the sled, or should I put all the stock parts back on??

Please Help.:face-icon-small-dis

I would think they could... How good are you with your dealer? If you have a good relationship talk to them and they should be able to take care of you.

If your motor is gone, depending on your dealer who might tell you polaris won't go for this... Or the other who will say TOO BAD... I'd go with put it back to stock unless you REALLY know your dealer...

Yes it will void the warranty. Put the stock parts back in. But there is no guarantee that will work, they are not stupid!:clock::camera:

YEP, Same guy, gosh when you put it like that..... Been too busy, spent all of my spare time on business, just getting around to this.

BTW

If you don't have anything nice or helpful to say, don't waste my time being a troll.

Mod the motor and void the warranty-- been like this for years.

Modded motors, turned back to stock, and claimed for warranty just make the legitimate warranty claims harder to get approved.

Ever wonder why they want photos of everything?

If you modded the motor and blew it up-- time to put on your big boy pants and pay for the repairs.

Sorry if I sound l harsh, but did you really think a stage 2 kit wouldn't void the warranty????

I was just wondering if it was the same motor and if they denied it or you hadn't taken it in yet... Or seeing if you were a Troll.

All the posts on this thread before your response were trying to be helpful...

Hmmmm, ouch, not harsh, just didn't think a better fuel map and a pipe was considered a motor mod.

Suggestions?

Here's some advice. Don't come across as a dik and you'll get better results.

My sincere apologies, didn't want to be a dik. After my last kind request for some advice/ help, 95% of it was arguing or worse. Just looking for some help.

No worries.

Your last thread was doomed as soon as a certain member posted because he had rubbed a lot of people the wrong way just before that.

If you don't have a good solid relationship with your dealer take it back to stock including removing the Velcro patch for your fuel controller.

yep

That was the plan, thing is, i crunched the front end and smashed the pipe, thats why i upgraded. I need a stock pipe, If anyone knows where i can grab one cheap that'd be rad. I have a guy who will fix my other for $150. Velcro for sure, funny you said that, Iw as thinking that is what would give it all away. I do not have a good relationship with the dealer, I am just any other customer to them..

Bummer bout the last thread. Actually wanted to write a letter, as meaningless as it would have been

I was just looking at the kit at SLP's website. The clutching, pipe & can and air mods probably wouldn't be too big of a deal. But if I were the dealer taking in your sled on a warranty claim, I'd be concerned about the PCV and what map you were running. People have the ability to really jack up the map.

If you ran different exhaust and a different fuel map your engine no longer has any warranty. If you put everything back to stock and try to get warranty work done then you are a crook. Shame on you. You modded it. Why should Polaris pay for your problem. Talk to slp for warranty (thats a joke) or pay for it your self.

Asking how to be the tool that mods his sled, then expects someone else to pay for his repair once he has issues...

And the OTHER guy is the troll?

Yeah... no.
:tsk:

People like you are why it's so hard to get things covered so often lately.

Want to mod your sled... MAN THE F up & deal with the consequences.

This is a big boy game, if you can't play, stay stock, or build a relationship with your dealer.

I just do not get why anyone would mod their sled when it is still under warranty and then expect it to be covered.

As others have said time to pay the piper. Suck it up and pay

This is why Polaris has gotten so strict on their warranty repairs. People get upset and now you know why they are warranty Nazi's.
