Polaris Stock Reed Petals

After extensive testing of my own, as well as considerable input from others, it seems the stock reeds, are running the best and longest on turbo Pro's. My question is, has anyone got a line on just buying the Petals? Polaris seems to only want to sell the entire petal/cage block assembly, at $95 per side. Any help?

do some searches on people putting vforce or other reeds in there sleds and PM them offering to buy there stock ones. years ago I built a water craft 1200 and did this looking for stock 900 reeds and found ALOT OF PEOPLE and picked up 3 complete sets...6 complete reeds for under 100 bucks....all had very little miles on them.

Might help.....:face-icon-small-coo

How many miles are you getting out of the stock reeds compared to the others you have tested?

So far, I have almost 3000 Miles on my Pro. About 2500 is under 8-12 PSI of boost w/a BD turbo. I ran stock reeds fro the first few hundred before the turbo, and then another 500 or so after I installed the Turbo. I switched to Boyesen's "Turbo" petals for a couple hundred miles, but after a buddies failed (I installed his turbo, as well as the new petals at the same time I did mine), I checked mine, and found some chipping and cracks. I talked to another buddy who runs the RMSHA circuit for BD/Durmas Racing, and he gave me 2 extra stock petals, and told me they were doubling up the bottom set. I tried this for a while, but it seemed to me like I had picked up a bit of a bog. I talked with several other people who had tried V-Force and had got very little life from them, as well as Jared from BD. He told me that through their testing, the stock petals were performing and lasting the best. I went back to the stock set up (removed the double set on the bottom), and have been running that since. With my engine tore down currently, the original petals have a little bit of chipping, and some separation from the cage, but are not terrible given the life and use they have had. I will definitely replace, but in a pinch, would probably be ok flipping the ones that are gapped.
Also, I would like to mention, that this is the first time I have EVER had an issue with Boyesen reeds. Normally, I think they are the best on the market, but for some reason, do not like boost in this particular motor.

I put HM's reed oiler on mine that injects some of the oil through the throttle bodies and have had excellent results with the stock reeds and also helps lube the top end

What kit did you put these on? just looked at them on HMs website but not a lot of info. Would these work on a BD kit?

Mine is a BD kit on a 09 800 Dragon, uses the extra ports on the oil pump. Just have to drill and tap the throttle bodies, Shain was very helpful on this and finally getting my EZ Ryde set up right.
