Polaris Sportsman owners: How to make one run like crap??

Okay, long story short. A buddy was gonna buy a 500 Sportsman. Told his boss he was gonna buy it.....nice machine, screamin deal from one of the crane operators on the job selling the machine. Boss went and cut the guy a check for the machine and then made my buddy haul it to buddy's house and boss isn't going to pick it up until next weekend.
Pretty underhanded thing for the boss to do.
Soooo, how can I sabotage the thing so that it runs like a pile of chit and either the boss won't want it or will have to take it into the shop and spend some $ to get it running right?
I'm thinking mess up the clutching. Does the 2ndary adjust for belt deflection like a sled? What about the primary? Are the weights adjustable where I can load up some weight and drop the rpms?
What about the carb? How would I richen it up so it runs like a pig?

Lookin for simple ideas that wont ruin the machine. Thanks.

Is it your boss?

and i don't quite get it what he did that was chitty?

you wanna fk with a wheeler a bossman bought when people would give a left testicle to have a job right now?

I'd have to agree with the dude above, grow up

i wouldn't do anything unless you are ready to find another job. your better off to **** with him another way like take a **** on his truck seat

Ive sold alot of things in my life over the internet and hand to hand.
Too many times people have said "oh i'll buy that from ya" and never show up.
With the economy today its a buyers market. Got the green in your hand? well then its your's. First come first serve simple as that.
And why the hell would you even wanna f*ck with the boss?
He has done nothing wrong. He bought something fair and square.
If the seller had agreed to sell your bud his ATV, then its the sellers thats at fault. Go **** in his truck...

Let me understand you correctly. You are asking for advice on how to sabotage a machine? On a forum?

Yeaaaaaah. Go right ahead and do that. Nice prescription for some jail time....

Holy cr@p, you guys are way too serious! First of all, maybe "sabotage" was too harsh of a word. Anyone that read to the bottom of my post would know that I have no intention of doing anything to harm the machine!

Second, what the F is up with the personal advice? Noone asked whether my buddy or I should do this in good conscience or if it was the right thing to do.

Third, none of you know anyone involved here, or what our relationships are. The three of us me, buddy, and boss have worked together off and on for years and no, this isn't something either of us could lose our job over.
To explain further, boss had first crack at it, turned it down. Buddy agreed to buy it, told boss he was gonna buy it, then boss ran over and wrote the guy a check for it without asking buddy, before buddy could even go home and get a checkbook. This is not a large purchase or expense for either party, and yes, there's a thousand other 4 wheelers for sale. Just a matter of principal.

Fourth, boss is the kind of guy that'll go drop $40k on a new camper. Go camping once and then decide he doesn't like it and go trade it on another one. For him, just hopping on it once and having it not run right, he'd probably turn right around and sell it to buddy because he didn't want to eff with it.

Dude, don't you know, sleds/atv's are sacred, you know, hands off. But wait, what's the bosses wife look like? Now she is totally far game. Leave the guys ride alone and maybe ride his wife instead. :D

On a more serious note. Let it go, this is destine to go bad.

Don't worry Karma has a special way of righting things. Don't get into the circle of Karma youself!:beer;

stick a bb in the valve stem cap just before he takes it home, creates a nice little air leak and by mornin he will have flat tires.........

if it is just for fun there are tons of things you can mess with..........lighten up guys!!!!

Pop the seat off, pop the air box lid off, pop the air filter off to the side, sandwhich bag with elastic to cover the pipe. Return cover and seat...;).

Offer to fix it for a case of beer...

i think it serves your buddy right for opening his mouth and telling everyone that theres a good deal, where the deal is, and who to talk to about the good deal. when i find deals i dont say chit to nobody untill after i bought it!

put a pin hole in the seat cover and inject skunk cover scent or some other sinky oil based crap, he'll have a wet spot every time he sits down on the seat it'll squirt a little back up thru the hole onto his azz.

I still say leave his wheeler alone and when he is out riding it send your buddy over to his house to ride Mrs. Boss afew laps. Make sure you get some good pics and be sure to show them around at work. Just about the time he starts to get pissed about it remind him if he hadn't scooped the wheeler out from under you he would have been home riding the Mrs. Boss instead of you. Make sure you tell him no hard feelings we're all still friends right. I'm sure this is going to go over well. lol

Now these are the kinda responses I was hoping for!:D
Mrs. Boss is definately rideable! Somehow I think that would cause a whole lot more trouble than skunk scent injected into the seat (my favorite, so far), though.
Haven't heard whether he worked it out with boss yet, but if boss tells him he's keepin' it, I know how 4 BB's, a needle, skunk p!ss, and a sandwich bag are going to be used shortly!
