polaris ski/board rack

Looking at getting a rack for occasional back country skiing use. Man, some are expensive. The new one by polaris is $279, but not available till October. Has anyone seen a prototype? will it work well?

I highly doubt they'd get it right on their first iteration. Skidoos was a disaster if you ask me.

You want a quality rack, go CFR or Mo Pros. Nothing worse than a rack failure in the BC and having to strap your gear to your back. Buy a good rack once and forget about it.
