Well I just bought another wheeler since it won't snow around here LOL.
I picked up a really nice 03 500 scrambler and was wondering what you guys thought of these machines, good or bad, upgrades that I may want to do or any thing else? Don't get me wrong I still have my 800 outlander and I know it's not gonna compare in that aspect but I think 94ford on here has had a little experenice with these things.

I do have one... a pretty well kept 08... From what I understand they are all pretty similar over the years. I don't have a ton of riding on mine as I didn't have time to ride it last year, but it is a nice intermediate size machine with modest capabilities... but don't confuse it with a full on utility quad. The couple problems I have had with mine is on the rear axle... the chain/gear combo and low mounted, exposed brake don't seem to hold up well to mud/sand... but I haven't had as much time to ride the thing as I had planned when I bought it 2 years ago. Other than that I like it... much lighter and more maneuverable than the bigger utility machines:beer; One upgrade I did do was to throw on a VanAmburg winch bumper and a 2500 lb winch... comes in handy when you forget you're not on an 800cc ride.:face-icon-small-sho

I have an old 400 2 stroke version.

Really wish I had the 500!

Had a 350 Yammi Warrior before that. Man the Yammi was a fuel miser that could play in the pits like no other! But if there is some wet spots between here and there, that light 2 wheeler just couldn't hang. I would run point and just toss the rope out as the UTES went past to drag me out.... :face-icon-small-blu

The Scrambler solved most of that issue. Not gunna go through the muck, but not bad otherwise.

I really like the Scrambler as I was always eating my knees on the Yammi. The Scrambler is designed and built by 6' tall Yankees! And it is MUCH more comfy to ride!

Have not had them out in several yrs now. Gotta doo something about that one of these days... :face-icon-small-blu
