Brand new 14. What is your guys thoughts on the a-arm glue and weld burns on the tunnel?

photo 3.jpg

well if the welds have decent penetration that's a good thing...that glue oozing out is better showing then not I reckon as long as it didn't hydraulic the arm back out of the socket abit..

im with cascadesnowjunky..I like to get the first ding in a hurry that way she becomes a fun ride rather then still having the stress..

I have had 3 new Pro's and the 14 has the most blemishes as I would call them from the factory. It's not a huge deal to me just wanted to see if anybody else had a sled with similar flaws.

I will have to look at my tunnel but i have glue oozing out of my a arms, not as ugly as that but i would rather that then my a arms falling apart.

to bad Yamaha and Polaris didn't team up to produce a sled, They could learn from Yamaha a lot about fit and finish . The motor issues is a whole story in it self . Don't get me wrong I like and own a Assault but come on details should not be left to the aftermarket to fix!:mmph:

My 14 looks the same, I guess my thinking is its only new until I ride it for the first time. I bought mine to ride not to show.

By Jan 15 I will need to clean the branches, pitch, and pine needles out just to get the weigh back down... Good ting it will have a bunch of scratches to counter the pine needle weight, "give a little take a little" :face-icon-small-ton

FRICK, mines all scratched from tools and the hood and accessories ive put on already.... pipes all scratched from removal, gloss hoods scratched from improperly cleaning.

one or two rides and she will be super scuffed up from the trees brush and cat tails.

Man you guys got a good sled mine was a Friday build. In addition to glue and weld burns mine has a seat post that does not sitflat on tunnel. The torx bolt going in to the casting behind the exhaust can came stripped. RH side panel a real poor fit.2 huge gouges in tunnel just behind seat post from something rubbing during shipping. Ski alignment toe out a full half inch.(dealer issue). Wire on electric start relay never pushed right on as I lost ES and had to trouble shoot, thought it was a bad battery. My fit and finish on my 12 was much better.Sled will be addressed on first service as dealer is aware of all issues.

Gee, I kinda didn't care. I just threw it in the garage and starting pulling stuff off to powder coat or change out. Guess I'll have to look - although I still don't care. I bought her to use, boys!!
