Donor sled is 99 RMK 700 Gen II 151" with kuhn carbs. I want to put that motor in my '02 Edge that had an 800 162" with rack carbs.

1. Want to stay with the rack carbs, but the elec. wont swap over. To swap the elec. I need to use the stator from the rack carb'd 800 motor. Will the 800 stator swap over to the 700?

2. I ride aggressive/climbing at 7,000-11,000ft. The 700 had twin pipes, the 800 single. What is the difference between single and twins?

3. What should I be looking to do as far as gearing/clutch? Would the 151" gearing with the 700 motor be acceptable for a 162"? Would the 162" gearing stay the same with clutching change? Any advice on weights/gears, etc. would be appreciated...

No reason you can't use the old electronics in the Edge chassis if they are in good working order, just need longer spark plug wires for the old CDI module so they reach the motor. If you would prefer the new electronics, the flywheel and stator from the 800 will be fine, you just need to find a non-VES 700 CDI module to go with them.
