Polaris Industries Cares

...so what do you expect them to do, keeping costs under $15K, for a vehicle that can go where no other on-land vehicle can go in the winter? You call it "****", I call it a marvel of modern capitalism. Be realistic dude. You get so.much.technology. for the money its crazy. Polaris has an operating margin of 8.4%. This means they are either incredibly poorly managed or you are asking for far more out of a $10-15K machine than is humanly possible in 2018.

I think they expect Polaris to get online and apologize for hurting their sensitive feelings.

JJ you laid it out better than my smart ass ever could with this post, but common sense does not always prevail.

bingo a winner, that states it all. All these issues would cost near zero money to fix BEFORE they are released to the public. There is no excuse for it. These motors can be amazingly dependable IF they are assembled correctly with proper attention paid to clearances.

Okay, so if you are suggesting this then why haven't the other two 2 stroke manufacturers done away with Polaris by bringing to market motors that never break and sleds that outperform them by a significant margin

Answer...they don't. Neither one of their financials (Cat - now Textron and Doo.CN) indicate a lower warranty rate or higher OM. Go browse each forum or go ride with guys who are on other sleds, none of them clearly outperform. They all kick butt.

So what you are saying is all the major sled manufacturers are incredibly poorly managed? Hmmmm. Seems a long shot to me and absolutely flies in the face of free market capitalism.

Your thoughts exist in a vacuum. If you are *so* smart, send your resume right in to Polaris. Better, build a better mouse trap, patent whatever it is that makes yours so special and have them buy it from you.

...but my money is on an excuse showing me why you can't do that.

There is no collusion in free market economics. Capitalism works. Its what allows me to go to a dealer, throw down $10-14K and walk out with a piece of machinery we all would have *dreamed* of 10 years ago.

well you are entitled to your opinion, zero reason to debate this any more, I've built my better mouse trap in the auto racing industry and retired at 43, so zero reason to send my resume anywhere. ;) We usually ride about 2500+ miles a year, all makes in our group, perhaps we just see a lot more engine issues than you do.

lol no winner, we all do the best we can and I try to respect all guys thoughts, if your ever in cook city or my area give me a shout, your more than welcome to come ride with us :face-icon-small-coo

When you have an issue with your government do you call Donald Trump or do you speak with local representatives?

If you have issues talk to your dealer. They are your support staff, communication link, and service department.

Long term profit is prioritized by these corporations by employing a long term dealer network to support their customers and keep them satisfied.

You got me wrong, I have an awesome dealer and that’s a good reason why he sold me 4 Axys in 4 years, but I also had an awesome relationship with my cat dealer. Reason I switched brands was not dealer related but manufacturer. You may have the best caring for customer dealer network in the industry, if you sell crap both manufacturer and dealer will suffer. Anyways I believe most people chose their product before they chose the dealer.

I don’t agree polaris is a cheap manufacturer from my personal experience, because I am not brand loyal for a minute, I just buy what’s best out there for my needs. Btw my dealer has 30+ 850s delivered, only one came back with engine failure (my friends) and seems more related to bad break in than poor quality. 4 days out so far on my 850 and I’m loving it, will continue that way until it lets me down.

Merry xmas to You
